Affordable tax preparation can be a hurdle for many older taxpayers living with low to moderate incomes, causing them to miss out on much-needed tax breaks.

Training & Guidance
Volunteer 1-3 days a week during tax season, which runs February through April.

Tax counselors help taxpayers find credits and deductions they’ve earned and file their tax returns. Learn how to prepare taxes and meet standards set by the IRS.
Are you a people person?
Become a client facilitator! You’ll greet taxpayers, organize their documents, and ensure a smooth, positive experience from start to finish.
Skilled in all things digital?
Technology specialists manage computer equipment, ensure taxpayer data is secure, and provide technical assistance to volunteers at different local sites.
Have a knack for running things?
Step into a leadership or administrative volunteer role and ensure program operations run smoothly, manage volunteers, track volunteer assignments and site activities, and maintain quality control.
Speak a second language?
Your skills are incredibly valuable here! We have a big demand for bilingual speakers in all roles, especially dedicated interpreters who can assist other volunteers.
